Knee region overuse syndromes

All overload syndromes are caused by repetitive microtrauma, it is very common in adolescents practicing sports – the knee joint is engaged in all sports activities. Overload syndromes may include Jumper’s knee, Iliotibial band syndrome, Osgood – Schlatter disease, femoropatellar pain, pes anserinus bursitis, etc. Ultrasound diagnostics is a well-accepted method of choice because it visualizes the pathologic tissue changes and at the same time young patients are not X-ray exposed. The following program, if performed correctly and regularly, alleviates most symptoms in such patients.
