About the program:
This program is aimed at patients who have undergone surgical reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament.
You may begin the program on the 45th day after the operation. The exercises are not suitable for the initial postoperative stage of rehabilitation. It is advisable that initial rehabilitation be carried out first.
The goal of the program is to prevent muscular atrophy, to restore mobility in the knee, and to eliminate bad compensatory habits.
For a full and timely recovery, it is necessary to perform the exercises daily.

The 6th to 7th week after the surgical reconstruction of the ACL is a transitionary phase between the early and late stages of recovery. Although you may feel a growing confidence in using your knee, bear in mind that the joint is still far from fully functional at this point, and you would do well to approach everything very carefully. This is a time when the exercises will see an increase in resistance to ensure a healthy muscular response. Another important type of exercise for this period focuses on your proprioception, which has been disturbed by the trauma and surgical intervention. All of this will prepare your knee joint for more sports oriented exercises after week 12.
